Are you chronically tired? Have you even been diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder like Lupus, Fibromyalgia, or Rheumatoid Arthritis? These are illnesses in which the body attacks itself, and our cells don’t recognize our other cells as “me.” Western medicine doesn’t have a good explanation for this, and can’t help much. Typically, doctors tell patients to “learn to live with it.”
Edgar Cayce, (March 18, 1877 – January 3, 1945) was known as the "Sleeping Prophet" and gave what was known as “readings” on thousands of different topics, including holistic healing. He is the most recorded psychic that ever lived and was featured in the New York Times in 1910. He is considered by many "The Father of Holistic Medicine" because he lived before the emergence of the New Age movement and influenced many of its teachings. His clairvoyant abilities made him a celebrity of his time and he founded a nonprofit organization, called the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.), to research and explore subjects such as holistic health, ancient mysteries, personal spirituality, dreams and dream interpretation, intuition, philosophy and reincarnation. A.R.E.'s stated mission is to help people change their lives for the better through the ideas and information found in the Edgar Cayce readings.

If you think that your life is over after the menopause, you are wrong. There are so many perks to menopause! Seriously, you can now travel without tampons and pads, and make your reservations without regard to that time of the month. You can have all the great sex that you want, without counting the days of “being late” afterwards. Of course, there are some intimate issues that can bother menopausal and peri-menopausal women, which can easily be alleviated, if you discuss them with your physician. You don’t have to wait for your preventive check up if you are bothered by some common symptoms related to crossing that Rubicon called the menopause.
I believe, as a hair stylist, my role goes beyond hair styling. Awareness, integrity and a logical purpose are key. This means possessing a deep understanding of hair needs and its problems and properly treating it with gentle ingredients that nourish and beautify it without compromising the health of my clients and myself. – Mauricio C.

What’s wrong with me?
Michael came into the office taking short baby steps. His 19 year old arms and hands were bent and twisted into a weird spasmodic position. His head tilted to the side, eyes nearly closed with his face in a strange grimace. He spoke in short three or four word sentences. He had been suffering since he was 13 years old and his father was ready to institutionalize him for the rest of his life. Until he became ill he was a normal boy and a commuter whiz. One day he developed what appeared to be the flu, except it was in the summer and not the flu season.

SAVING YOUR GUMS
Here’s a startling statistic to sink your teeth into. More teeth are lost due to gum disease than to tooth decay. In fact, 75 percent of American adults over the age of thirty-five suffer from some form of periodontal disease, according to the American Dental Association. Periodontal disease takes two forms: simple gum inflammation called gingivitis, which is caused by bacteria, and a more severe gum infection called periodontitis, which may lead to tooth loss.
